WHAT REMAINS

WHAT REMAINS

Psalms 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

Oh, that we could only see; that we could realize that the greatness evil men take pride in is only a temporal notion of happiness and wealth. It appears real to the naked eye, but when proved by the spirit, it is found to be but an illusion that will burn and vanish away when the works of all mankind will be tried by fire (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). Their palaces, their temples, their fancy clothing, the loud and gaudy noises will all disappear.

In the great day when God looks at every heart, only what is done for Christ remains. Only what is done for the Son of God holds the value of the currency of Heaven. The rest will perish in the great day when the first heaven and the first earth are passed away (Revelations 21:1)

Beloved let us envy not the wealth of the wicked. What little we own today, because of our faith, will remain forever. We should not labor not for meat that perisheth (John 6:27). It will not fill our heart; it will not satisfy our soul; it will not buy us a better place in His Kingdom. We ought to heed Jesus admonition and spend our life working for the true foundational currency of the Kingdom of Heaven. His Kingdom is not made of dead stones, monuments and things, it is made of living stones: people (Matthew 6:33).

The only thing we can take to heaven with us when we leave this earth is the people we have won for His Kingdom; the souls we have brought into His holy path, the deeds that promoted the establishment of His kingdom on earth.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
