THE LITTLE THAT REMAINS FOREVER

THE LITTLE THAT REMAINS FOREVER

Psalms 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Look my friend. Look at the wealth of the wicked; look carefully at all he owns. As the grass of the field, as the life of the flesh that is oh, so easily snuffed out, it is here today and gone tomorrow. So the question is: was it really there in the first place? Can temporal and corruptible goods be considered reliable wealth, power and strength? Can it even be considered tangible? Can we lean on them for support? Can we burn them and they will come out without even the smell of smoke? Can we crucify them and they will resurrect in greater glory?

We need to look for that true wealth that never goes away. We need to set our eyes on the meat which never perishes; fix our hearts on the eternal and incorruptible values of heaven. We can lean on them and they support us. We can burn them and they come out without even the smell of smoke. We can crucify them and they resurrect in even greater glory and strength.

Let us not grieve the heart of the Most High. Why should we over-rate carnal corruptible wealth and despise spiritual eternal riches. When the temporal visible blessings seem scarce, let us not be discouraged. God sees not as we see. The wealth of a man in His sight is not measured of how much he owns, but in how much he gives away.

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
