Psalms 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

The socio-political world of today seems to be caught in an endless cycle of vendetta type wars. Every conflict on the planet points to the victim mentality in which it is deeply engulfed. It seems that we are not learning from history, no not even from our contemporary history. Revenge only promotes more violence, and even winning a war only brings forth hatred and animosity in those who were vanquished, which will eventually retaliate in the future generations. Such are the ways of the world.

But we can recognize who are the children of the Most High. They do not have to involve themselves in the dirty business of retaliation; their history is that of a God who has taken charge to avenge them (Romans 12:19). Their Lord and Savior, by his own words and sample, even told them to love and bless the enemy that hates and curses them (Isaiah 53:7; Matthew 5:44).

We do not need to worry about the wicked that wrongs us. The day is coming when the books will be opened and the truth will be known; in that day, God himself will reward the wicked and we will see it with our own eyes. What a surprise it will be then to see how God really looks at things.

1Th 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
