IT PAYS TO WAIT ON HIM

IT PAYS TO WAIT ON HIM

Psalms 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

How hard it is to wait. We pray, we plead, we console ourselves and yet, after we stand on the Word of His promises, simple lack of patience sends its fiery arrows as if determined to fall us from keeping His ways. Also, as in the case of Joshua in Jericho (Joshua 6:1-5), God often asks us to go about the vision He gives us in a most unconventional ways that defy every fiber of logic we may claim to have.

Yet, He makes everything dependant on the ability to keep His ways. He makes history with the Joshuas, the Gideons, the Jonathans and the Davids that trusted Him, and with the D.L.Moodys, the Wesleys, the Martin Luthers, the Spurgeons, the David Livingstone, the Adoniram Judsons, the William Careys, and with every missionary and witnesser, small and great, every person who is courageous enough to dares to obey Him standing on faith in His Word alone when he presses in their heart a heavenly vision that will not go away.

The wicked cannot doesn’t trust God. Because of his lack of faith, he leans on his own understanding, and in the end, he is humbled by his own foolishness. Let us not be like him. Let us fully wait on the Lord and go His way. While we watch the wicked left only with regrets to comfort him, God will vindicate us in the land of accomplished visions and received promises,

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
