STAND

Psalms 5:10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

God’s people don’t have to worry about anything, especially about their enemies. They have the assurance that the very counsel of those who would want to hurt them will swallow their perpetrators. The only time when this does not happen is when God gives permission for his children to be hurt. At such times, God even uses their enemies as a form of chastisement for His children’s disobediences and evil deeds. At such times, God fights against them, very often by using their opponents.

If our heart is right; if we obey His commandments; if we live the way we know God wants us to; if we stay within the parameters of the pavilion of His protection; we don’t have to worry about the ungodly and the wicked. We don’t have to fret about the demise of the devil; his fall has been predicted from the Garden of Eden, and we can live with the assurance that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

Lies, deceit, rebellion and transgressions cannot stand before God. Anyone who practices them seals his own fate. We don’t have to fight them, all we have to do is stand, stand unmovable and unshakable against them. This is the picture of the true soldier of the cross, adamantly standing in defiance against the influences of the enemy’s world. He doesn’t bufge an inch from his position; he knows his God has drown His sword of justice and has already destroyed the enemy of his soul

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
