DRAW NEAR

Psalms 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Now that we have been set aside, separated and sanctified for God’s purpose; now that He has drawn us out and away from our own purposes, and brought us unto Him; now that He has called us to a new purpose in our life: let’s make Him the object of our focus.  May we not look to the left or to the right in doubt and questioning of His ways for us.  

Now is a time for sweet communion with Him in the Holy of Holies, where He lives in the chambers of our heart.  Now is the time for quietness, reflection and listening to His voice; the time to take our shoes off, approach the mount and hear the voice of God giving His instructions.  

There, in the silencing of our own purposes, in the surrendering of our will, He gives us the peace that passes all understanding; He reveals Himself, and His purpose to us just as He did Moses (Exodus 19-20), and Paul at Mt. Sinai (Galatians 1;17; 4:25).

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
